However, during low season we are able to offer mid-week and weekend breaks - please contact us for availability and prices.

If you make a booking in our cottage just one or two weeks before your stay then we are happy to offer a 10% discount on the tariff. Please note that this discount applies only to full-week bookings - sorry but we cannot discount short stays.
For example, if the online booking system shows the week beginning 5th March 2022 as available and you book it anytime after 19th February 2022 then the discount will apply. Just complete the booking (which will show the full tariff price) and we will send you a revised / discounted booking confirmation / invoice by return.
ByYou can pay for your holiday by BACS (internet or telephone banking payments), bank transfer or by cheque. You can choose to pay by any of these methods, though you will need to decide which method you intend to use before you complete the booking process.
As you go through the booking process, there is an Extras Page, where you can book an arrival meal (as described below), indicate you are bringing a dog and by which method you are going to make payment.
When you have completed the booking form and confirmed your booking, you will be sent a confirmation email. In this email you will find details for our bank account (for BACS payments), and who to write any cheques to and where to post them. We would appreciate an email in response indicating whether you are intending to pay the full amount, or a 25% deposit and the balance nearer your holiday - full details about these options are included in the Terms and Conditions as set out here. You will need to check a box to say that you have read the T&Cs before you can complete your booking, so it is worth you reading them!
Occasionally we have noticed that the booking confirmation email can end up in your junk/spam folder, so please check there if you don't appear to have received it.
Please note that we (reluctantly) include in the invoice total a housekeeping deposit of £75 (for a one week booking) or £100 (for a two week booking) so when you enter the online booking service you will see prices shown as £75/£100 more than the tariffs shown above. COVID PERIOD PAYMENT/REFUND POLICY
During the current period of restricted travel we are continuing to take bookings for our cottage. Should your holiday not be allowed to take place due to Government imposed restrictions we will make a full refund of any monies paid.
If you pay a deposit when you make your booking we will likely request your balance payment closer to your booking date rather than our usual 6 weeks before your booking.
If your holiday is allowed to take place, we will ask you to follow some basic (but necessary) precautions to help protect us, our community and yourselves.
Arrival Meal
However you travel to the Cottage (driving, fly/driving, train/walking), you might like a meal ready for you when you arrive. For a reasonable charge we can provide something that just needs warming through in the oven - such as a lasagne, a stew or a pie, together with a simple but tasty sweet. If that is an option you would like, please let us know if you have any particular dietary requirements (eg vegan, vegetarian, dairy or wheat free).

If you are intending to bring your dog (eg collie or smaller) with you, it is very welcome. We charge just £30 for a one week stay and £50 for a two week stay. When you go through the booking process please select the appropriate option in the Extras page. We also ask that you bring with you your dog's own bedding (and of course all the necessay 'clean-up' resources required).
